Introduction
At Eurofresh, our commitment to the land, people, and communities is fundamental to our way of working. Therefore, and aware of the importance of knowing, respecting, and protecting Human Rights in the workplace by our employees, suppliers, and contractors, we have created this Human Rights in the Workplace Approach Policy and ETI Code.
This policy expresses Eurofresh’s commitment to the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and its relationship with the agricultural and commercial activities we carry out in each of our origins.
With its creation, Eurofresh assumes its corresponding responsibility towards its employees, suppliers, and contractors regarding Human Rights. To this end, the responsibilities and scope of this policy are described below.
Scope and Application
The guidelines stated in this policy serve as a guide for how Eurofresh addresses human rights and the ETI Code, based on the employment relationships the company maintains with its employees, suppliers, and contractors.
Therefore, it will apply to Eurofresh employees, suppliers, contractors, and members of the management body, to whom the company commits to make this policy known in a timely manner and whenever any change or revision occurs.
Responsibilities
The responsibility for implementing and reporting on the Human Rights in the Workplace Approach Policy and ETI Code lies with the Human Resources and Purchasing departments, as well as Eurofresh Management, who will ensure the correct and strict compliance with the guidelines set forth in this policy.
Consequently, Eurofresh concretely presents its responsibilities regarding Human Rights and the ETI Code to its employees, suppliers, and contractors.
Commitment and Principles of Action
Eurofresh is committed to informing, respecting, and publishing all internationally recognized human rights and ETI Code principles contained in:

Responsibility towards our Employees, Suppliers, and Contractors

We cultivate calmly, caring for the land and those who work it, generating stable employment and promoting the development of rural communities in each of our origins.
Therefore, the pillars on which we base the development of our human capital are: respect for diversity, equal opportunities, merit, and non-discrimination based on skin color, race, political or religious ideology, gender, or any other circumstance.
For the success of these guidelines, Eurofresh assumes and commits to promoting the following basic principles that determine its actions in the workplace:
- To require, by any written, verbal, or electronic means, all company professionals and suppliers to strictly respect human and labor rights recognized in the aforementioned national and international legislation in the development of their activity.

- To request its suppliers to comply with the ETI Code, which obliges them to promote actions and adopt the necessary measures within their organization to: eliminate all forms or types of forced or compulsory labor; expressly reject the employment of child labor; respect the freedom of trade union association and the right to collective bargaining of their workers; reject all discriminatory practices in employment and occupation, treating their employees fairly, with dignity and respect; and remunerate their workers in accordance with applicable wage laws, including minimum wages, overtime, and social benefits.
- To implement appropriate measures in case of detecting human rights violations in its facilities or those of its suppliers, under the terms provided in the ETI Code.
- To have complaint and grievance mechanisms, with sufficient guarantees, to address possible cases of human rights violations that may be communicated by individuals or organizations external to Eurofresh, through: https://eurofresh.net/es/ayudanos-a-mejorar/ / info@eurofresh.net.
